Ridhima Pandey is a youth climate activist from Uttarakhand, India, who began her environmental journey at just 9 years old by filing a petition against the Indian government for failing to act on climate change. In 2019, she joined 15 other young activists, including Greta Thunberg, in filing a landmark complaint to the UN against major polluting countries. Ridhima has led climate strikes, campaigned to protect forests and rivers, and spoken at global forums including the Vatican and COP platforms. She has been featured in Generation Greta, The Letter, and One for Change, and was named among BBC’s 100 Women in 2020. Her work bridges legal action, grassroots activism, and storytelling. Through every step, she champions the power of youth to drive urgent climate action and hold leaders accountable. Ridhima continues to inspire a generation to stand up for the planet with courage, creativity, and conviction.
